Had a great lunch at the El Tovar Hotel. It was built i 1905 and used to be a private lodge, a Harvey House, so named for the guy that built the first lodges at the Grand Canyon. It’s a beautiful old hotel sitting right on the rim, I would definitely stay here if I came back, get one of the suites with a view, the tip here unless you book long in advance is to keep calling back as people book months in advance and often cancel as the date approaches.
It had that old deep wood, dusky, warm and comfy feel to it and the food was great as well as the service.
